1964 - 2025
Auburn - Christopher M. Logan, age 61, of Sabattus, passed away Thursday evening September 18th at The Hospice House with family at his side. Chris was born in Lewiston on May 15, 1964, the oldest of two boys born to Ronald and Marilyn (Merriam) Logan. He grew up in Auburn, was educated in Auburn schools and graduated from Edward Little High School with the class of 1982, also known as the "party crew of '82."
Shortly after high school, Chris went on to live and work for about 25 years as a hard-working, self-employed Lobsterman on the coast of Maine in and around the waters of Boothbay Harbor, Harpswell, Bailey's Island, and Orr's Island. He was familiar with the Bailey's Island area, as his family spent portions of many Summers on the coast as he was growing up.
After retiring from lobstering. Chris owned and operated an antique business for several years down in Kennebunk until he relocated back here to the Lewiston-Auburn area about 10 years ago.
On August 26, 2023, he married the love of his life, Jennifer Barnard. What started out as a heart warming friendship in 2021, blossomed into a fun adventurist relationship were they always went on little Maine adventures. She was addicted to his happiness, just like everyone else, his happiness was contagious with every laugh, big smile, or jokes that he shared with anyone he could whether it was a cashier, friend, even strangers, anything to bring a smile on anyone's face.
Among his favorite enjoyments were spending time on the water, boating, kayaking, camping and simply enjoying the outdoors. Chris loved his music, especially the tried and true music of The Grateful Dead, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, and others, to name a few. With his larger presence, he will still be remembered for his gentle nature and kind heart. He was a loving, devoted and hard-working husband, father, son and brother who will be dearly missed.
Chris leaves behind his wife Jennifer Barnard of Sabattus; a son Cyrus Logan of Richmond; a son Robert Barnard of Brewer; a son Jonathan Homan of Davenport Fl; a daughter Elizabeth Homan and fiancé Matthew Fisher of Waterville; a grandson Kingsley Homan of Lewiston; his brother Andrew Logan and wife Karen of Poland; his mother-in-law and father-in-law Pam and John Barnard of Brewer and
