Cindy Lou Gowell

Cindy’s laugh was infectious and could be heard wherever she was, even in the weeks leading to her death. Cindy’s favorite ways to spend time included shopping and laughing with her lifelong best friend Debbie Mitchell (of Lewiston Maine), cooking, baking, and feeding her friends and family. Before her cancer diagnosis, Cindy loved traveling and seeing new places, she always had a great love for her pets and wildlife alike. In her downtime, Cindy loved to crochet and has donated hundreds of hats, mittens, and scarves to the homeless and local charities.

Cindy is predeceased by her father, Clyde Harris of Auburn Maine.

Cindy is survived by her brother Michael Harris and his longtime partner Amy Wing of Readfield Maine, Nephew Michael Wing of Lebanon Maine, daughters Claire Priola of Harrison Maine, Sarah Byer of Yarmouth Maine, best friend Debbie Mitchell, dear friend and companion Gary Nadeau of Sabattus Maine. Cindy is also survived by her many grandchildren, great-nephews, great-niece, and many dear friends and neighbors.

The family invites you to a time of visitation on Friday June 28th from 4:00 to 7:00pm at The Fortin Group; 217 Turner St. Auburn, Maine. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Saturday June 29th at 10:00am at the Fortin Group Funeral Home followed by a committal service at Pine Street Cemetery.
