Colleen F. Saunders

Lewiston - Colleen Florence Saunders, 90 of Sabattus and formerly of Cundy's Harbor died Saturday. July 5 at Central Maine Medical Center. She was born in Greene, June 18, 1924 daughter of the late Arthur E. and Roseanna McGraw Ramsay. She was educated in Sabattus schools and graduated from Sabattus High School in 1942. She was married October 10, 1947 to Stuart T. Saunders who predeceased her January 25, 1983. Prior to her retirement she was employed many years as the switchboard operator at Knapp Shoe Co. She had such great memories of the years she lived in Cundy's Harbor. She was a life member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter # 60 of Wales. She loved spending time with family and cherished her time with her grandchildren. She is survived by three grandchildren, Craig Saunders and wife Heidi of Edgecomb, Wayne A. Saunders, Jr. of Waterville and Jonica L. Frank and husband Nicholas of Somerville; also five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Chase of Durham and many nieces and nephews.

She was also predeceased by a son, Wayne A. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Friday at 11:00 AM at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pleasant Hill Road, Sabattus.
