

Constance Jeanne Cyr, 85, of Auburn, Maine, passed away on September 29, 2026. Born on July 22, 1941, in Lewiston, Constance lived a life marked by steadfast faith, quiet resilience, and a kind-hearted devotion to those around her.
Constance was the daughter of Ralph and Juliette (Plourde) Nadeau, and the sister of Roger Nadeau and Theresa Smith. From her early years, she carried herself with a determined spirit and a strong work ethic that would guide her through every season of life.
With perseverance, Constance worked hard to earn her GED, a meaningful achievement that reflected her resolve and commitment. She went on to build a career as a Bank Loan Officer at multiple credit unions in the area, earning the respect of colleagues and community members alike through diligence, reliability, and the steady care she brought to her work.
On November 24, 1962, Constance married Roger Cyr. In the years that followed, she remained grounded in the values that shaped her life—faith, service, and the enduring strength to meet life’s demands with grace.
Constance found joy in the simple, lasting pleasures of home and time well spent. She loved tending to her rose gardens, spending time at the ocean, and settling in with a good jigsaw puzzle. She was also known to enjoy a good slice of cake for breakfast, and she would do anything for a Klondike bar—small delights that brought warmth and lightness to everyday moments.
Deeply devoted to her church community, Constance was very active at Holy Cross and Holy Trinity Church. She served as a Eucharist minister and lector, offering her time and presence with humility and reverence. She was also a key part of the Big Brother Big Sisters program, reflecting a generous spirit and a willingness to step forward where she was needed.
She is survived by her only daughter Michelle Cyr and her partner Scott Marquis. As well as her two granddaughters Anna Marsh - Meservier and her wife Ellie and Katrina Powell and husband Ben . She also was very proud of her great granddaughter Piper Powell. She is also survived by her brother and sister in laws along with many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband Roger Cyr, her brother Roger Nadeau and sister Terry Smith
