

Lewiston- David William Lamoreau 72, of Bushey Circle died unexpectedly, after a very sudden illness at his home on Saturday December 17, 2016. He was born in Richmond, on June 5, 1944 a son of the late Henry and Adeline (Park) Lamoreau. He was educated in the Brunswick Schools and graduated from Brunswick High class of 1962. David married, the former Diane Pelletier on June 14, 1968, and together they settled in Lewiston and started raising their two children. He worked several years for The Maine Department of Transportation as a road inspector. He also worked for various construction companies throughout the years. David was an active member of Holy Family Church, the Knights of Columbus (Council 10019) as a third and fourth degree Knight. He was also very active with the class of 1962 Brunswick High class reunion committee. He was an avid outdoorsman, and loved fishing, especially ice fishing, hunting, gardening, and foraging for mushrooms and fiddleheads.
He also was very supportive in his children's sporting events and continued with his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He always was willing to lend a hand he will truly be missed by all. He leaves his wife of 48 years Diane of Lewiston, his daughter Lori Cloutier and her husband Ricky of Lewiston, his son Todd Lamoreau and his wife Gail of Bowdoinham, his four grandchildren: Bryce and Brooke Cloutier and Ainsley and Becket Lamoreau, seven sisters: Elaine Diaz of Bowdoinham, Connie Jackson and Billy of Durham, Laurel Lamoreau and Jim of Richmond, Judy Marden and Jonathan of Weld, Carol Clark and husband Roy of CA, Cyndie Lamoreau of Bowdoinham and Sandy Lamoreau of W. Gardiner, two brothers Malcolm Lamoreau and wife Marilyn of NY and Michael Lamoreau and wife Betty of Manchester, his mother in law Pauline Pelletier of Lewiston and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation Fortin Auburn Wednesday Dec. 21 from 2-4 & 6-8. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday Dec 22 at 11 AM at Holy Family Church. Committal will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. Those wishing to make memorial donations in his memory may do so to The Store Next Door C/O LHS 156 East Ave. Lewiston ME 04240. This is a program that helps homeless students at Lewiston High School.
