She was born in Portland on August 21, 1930, the daughter of the late Herman Howard Stuart and Shirley Arris (Stuart).
Donna married Lee Cushman on October 12, 1946, and together they built a loving family. She was the matriarch of her family, known for her quick wit, adventurous spirit, and generous heart. She cherished her family and friends, loved animals and nature, and was well known for sharing her homemade pies with those she loved.
She is survived by her son, Stuart L. Cushman and his wife, Beverly; her daughters, Sher L.C. Blevins; Esther O'Brien-Nolin and her husband, Joseph; Pamela B. Bosarge and her husband, Theo; and Kathleen M. Nickerson and her husband, Timothy. She also leaves behind 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Donna was predeceased by her beloved husband, Lee Cushman; her daughters, Judith A. Fuller and Linda J. Salliotte; her granddaughter, Amanda O'Brien; and her sons-in-law, Howard O'Brien and Danny Blevins.
Her family is deeply grateful to the staff of The Sarah Frye Home for the compassionate and loving care they provided to their mother.
