Erlinda was a devoted follower of Christ whose life was marked by unwavering faith, selfless love, and joyful service. She was a loving mother to her six children, a cherished grandmother to 23 grandchildren, and a proud great-grandmother to two great-grandchildren. Her family was the greatest blessing of her life, and she faithfully nurtured each one with unconditional love, wisdom, and countless prayers.
She found great joy in gardening, where she lovingly cared for God’s creation and delighted in watching flowers bloom. She was actively involved in women’s ministry, encouraging and uplifting others in their walk with the Lord. She also loved singing hymns and praises to God, filling her home with music and hope.
Nothing brought Erlinda greater happiness than spending time with her grandchildren. She especially treasured her visits to the United States, where she lovingly cared for her precious twin grandchildren, Abi and Beni. The special bond they shared brought immeasurable joy to her heart and created memories that her family will forever cherish.
Those who knew Erlinda will remember her gentle spirit, generous heart, steadfast faith, and the love she freely gave to everyone around her. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all whose lives she touched.
While our hearts grieve her absence, we do not grieve without hope. Erlinda believed with all her heart in the promise of Jesus Christ—that one day He will return and call His faithful children home. We look forward with joyful anticipation to that glorious reunion when death will be no more and we will embrace our beloved mother once again.
“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout… and the dead in Christ will rise first.”
— 1 Thessalonians 4:16
Until that beautiful day, we will treasure every memory, honor her legacy of faith and love, and hold fast to God’s promise.
Rest peacefully, Mom. Thank you for your love, your prayers, and your beautiful example of faith. We love you deeply, and by God’s grace, we will see you again when Jesus comes.
