A great teacher!!!,who worked hard and cared for all !

We are sorry to hear of her passing. Although it's been many years since , we have fond memories of her, both as a colleague and as part of the furniture store she and Maynard ran. She was generous and always smiling.  She is sure to be missed by many.

   We are so saddened by your loss.    Gladys was  such a dear friend and always such a pleasure to be around.   Her quick wit and  laughter will always be remembered.  We will miss our days of playing cards and meeting out for breakfast so often.  The memories of playing cards and listening to oldies music, and how Gladys knew every word to almost every song! She was a bright light that made an impression on so many people, and so many events at our church.  May her light shine bright in Heaven.  Rest in peace Gladys. I send my most sincere condolences to Maynard, Shelly, Sarah, and their families. I have known Gladys since she was a young girl and she has given joy and happiness to everyone around her. She will be remembered and missed by all. You are in my prayers.

Sincere sympathy and condolences to  Gladys Family and friends. May you find comfort in fond memories of Gladys. She would always have a big smile and include friendly banter whenever we would meet. I enjoyed being in educational meetings with Gladys over the years. Student’s welfare and learning progress were always forefront for her and she was always willing to share her many tricks to boost student learning.

May your “Gladys memories”  smile upon you, and warm your hearts, as they just did for me… Saturday night staff volley ball games at the Fairview gym, Christmas caroling every year, barbecues at Edith’s,  cooking and sharing recipes, church choir, church fair, church suppers, AND… so many of my children’s birthday cakes! I know, don’t pay you for the specially designed cake; just buy the special pan and let you keep it! DEAL!

You will be extremely missed. By family, friends and the community, when you got laughing it was so contagious, I will forever remember all the memories I have had growing up in the trailer park, and going to visit the apartment In Lewiston, You and baba babysitting me and Alex, going to church to just run around and play. Going to Sunday school, so many memories I will hold with me my whole life, I remember the day you first met Hunter, your eyes lit right up and it was pure love and happiness, and I’m SO thankful you are apart of his life and mine.

Dear Maynard and family,
Our family expresses our deepest condolences in the loss of Gladys. At the same time we celebrate her vibrant  life . 
I appreciate the fact that Gladys and I first met each other in the High Street Methodist Church. We were in the same grade in school growing up in Auburn. Our fathers were great friends and were in the same mens group at church. Our daughterKate was in the Cherub choir at the Park Ave Methodist Church with her sister as the choir directer. My sister Judy was a very good friend and they had many connections in the church including the choir. Judy described Gladys as a "gem" and as someone who contributed so very much to the church community
Gladys leaves a wonderful legacy in countless ways!

I worked with Gladys at AMS and loved every minute of it. She loved her students and the people she worked with. Then I was fortunate to be her neighbor on Summer Street. It wasn’t until I read her obituary that I realized her mother was my third grade teacher at Chamberlain School.  I can still hear her laughter. She will be missed by so many. Condolences to her family and friends.

I worked with Gladys for 11 years at Auburn Middle . I taught on Team One with her for three years and was her sidekick on  student council for at least 5 years. Gladys was the most wonderful woman to work with. Her guidance , inspiration and humor made those years truly memorable. We had many, many laughs together. I will truly miss her.

Dear Maynard, It’s hard to believe that Gladys’s high spirits and laughter are gone. She was such a strong, vital presence in the life of the church and community. It was a gift to know her.
