Helen Walker Morrill

Auburn-Helen W. Morrill 90, Lewiston died Friday December 18, 2015 at Clover Manor. She was born in Brookline MA, on December 16, 1925 a daughter of the late Jay and Marion (Cromwell) Walker. She was educated in Lewiston and graduated from Lewiston High School class of 1943 and then went on to graduate from Bliss College in 1945. She married John F. Morrill on June 5, 1948, he predeceased her in 1997. Helen worked for many years as the secretary at Court St. Baptist Church, where she also was a very active member. Over the years she served on various committees and as a Sunday School superintendent. Later she went on to work for Porteous in the office. She enjoyed her flower gardens, following the Red Sox, crossword puzzles, reading and in her younger years she also enjoyed camping and square dancing. Most of all she enjoyed family gatherings, especially family reunions. She leaves her two daughters, Elaine Ardia and her husband Bruce of Lewiston and Cindy Labrie and husband Danny of Turner, her four sisters: Phyllis Splain of Auburn, Jane Sloat and husband Merlyn of Auburn, Jean Tarr of CT, and Barbara Lyman and husband Harland of Monmouth, a brother John Walker and wife Diane of Sabattus, a sister in law Cheryl Walker of FL, her three grandchildren, Sarah Ranger and husband Jason of Auburn, Kristen Beadoin and husband Brandon of Lewiston and Tom Ardia and fiancé Lisa Fields of Minot, four great granddaughters: Ella, Madeline, Charlotte and Mia, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Priscilla Fletcher and two brothers Jay Walker and Robert Walker.
