Jane Forbes Dube

Jane Forbes Dube passed away suddenly on Oct. 5, 2024 in Auburn. She was born March 24, 1944 in West Stewartstown, NH to the late Bernice Forbes Marchessault and Wilbur Forbes, who died in action in WWII. Jane was also preceded in death by her son Roy Dube and foster father, LaBruere Marchessault.

Jane graduated from Sacred Heart School, Edward Little High School and Mr. Bernard School of Hair Design. In earlier years she was the owner of Jane’s Beauty Salon in Lewiston. She married Richard Dube (deceased) in June,1963 and raised four children, Roy, Karen (Jean Belanger), Tina (Robert Blouin) and Scott (Denise Belanger). Jane is survived by her sisters Carol DeRoy (Robert) and Cindy Marchessault (Erik Hurst) and brothers Raymond Marchessault (Mitzie Turnbull) and Richard Marchessault (Jeannine Oren).

She was a dedicated and hard worker at St. Mary’s Hospital for several years until her retirement. Jane enjoyed painting, music, dancing, and spending time with her children, grandsons Josh, Devin, and Robert Busick III (Mikayla Pendexter), and great grandchildren Camden, Maverick, and Lorelai.

Jane served as a great role model for her family in developing the strength and perseverance needed to overcome the difficulties in life, including blindness in her last years. Her faith in God brought her consolation.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 10 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 8 Sacred Heart Place, Auburn and followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements are under the care of Fortin & Pinette Group, Auburn, 217 Turner St. in Auburn 783-8545.
