She was born in Lewiston, Maine on August 3, 1926, the daughter of the late Wilfred and Veronica (Deschene) Rivard.
She was a resident of Lewiston most of her life, after living in Monmouth Maine on the family farm for a time, Jane moved back to Lewiston and worked different jobs until getting married to Marcel Landry in 1950, they were married for sixty years until Marcel passed away in 2010. Together they raised five children, Jane stayed at home with the children and babysat other children as well.
When her children were grown Jane rejoined the work force until she retired in 1988. Jane loved her family, getting together in the summers, spending time around the pool in the backyard, and packing the house at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter.
She loved to cook and was an amazing baker, we always looked forward to the meals and pastry, and She passed the love of cooking down to her family. She loved knitting and crocheting, she made the most adorable baby booties for her grandchildren, not to mention hats, mittens and slippers when we were growing up. Jane loved babies, she was blessed with a total of 30 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She enjoyed getting together with brothers and sisters for weekend night card games, they were a family that really enjoyed spending time with one another.
We were so blessed to have a mother who loved us, taught us to love God, to work hard, to have respect for others, and how to raise our families. She will be missed, but it is comforting to know that we will be reunited someday, and she is in the loving arms of Jesus.
