Jeanne Emily Nadeau

Jeanne was born in Sheridan, Maine on April 14, 1945, a daughter to Lucille (Lajoie) and Leo Carney Sr. She attended local schools, graduating from St. Dom's in 1963.

She spent most of her life living in Auburn raising her family, and recently moved to Dixfield with her daughter and granddaughter.

Jeanne met the love of her life, Hubert Nadeau, and they were married on June 27, 1964. They were happily married and enjoyed many wonderful years together until his passing.

During her career, Jeanne worked at Falcon Shoe, Quaddy and spent 10 years working for Walmart.

Jeanne was a caring and loving person. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her friends and family. She sat with her youngest grandson doing word searches, it was always a funny time where he would be the one to look for the words, but would inevitably ask gram to find them. Whenever her grandchildren's friends came over to hangout, they would always take such a liking to her that they even started calling her gram too and officially adopted her as their grandmother.

She was loved beyond measure by her closest family and friends and we cannot express how much she will be missed.

Jeanne was able to pass at home peacefully due to the care her granddaughter gave her for the past two years, as well as with the help from her daughter and family.

Jeanne is predeceased by her parents, beloved husband Hubert, grandson Matthew J. Harvey, sister Marion Soucy. She is also predeceased by her precious cat, Tammy.

Jeanne leaves behind her daughters Linda Harvey and Joyce Philbrick, grandchildren Nathan P. Harvey, Brittany J. Harvey and William Cochran. She also leaves behind her siblings Leo Carney Jr. and his wife Diane and Bernadette Pelletier.

A Visitation for Jeanne will be held Monday, August 25, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at The Fortin & Pinette Group, 217 Turner Street, Auburn, ME 04210.

A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 8 Sacred Heart Pl, Auburn, ME 04210.

Committal Prayers will take place following Jeanne's Mass on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at St. Peter's Cemetery, 217 Switzerland Rd, Lewiston, ME 04240.
