
Albion: Jeannette L. Wilson, 91, passed away at her home after a brief battle with cancer September 24, 2011 in Albion. She was born in Lewiston September 11, 1920 a daughter of the late William and Eva (Maheux) Laflamme. Jeannette married Winsor Wilson November 29, 1939 in Auburn. Together the two of them lived most of their 57 years of marriage at Skilling's Corner in Turner. After Winsor's death she moved to Turner Square Apartments and for the past two years she has lived with her daughter Elaine and her husband Stephen Staples in Albion.
For over 35 years she was the cook and manager of the Hot Lunch Program at the C.P. Wight School in North Auburn.
Jeannette enjoyed all of her family and was lucky enough to see or hear from them on her recent 91st birthday. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working on and giving away her needlepoint and crewel pictures. In the last few years she discovered cruising and went to Bermuda, spent her 89th birthday going to France, Ireland and Iceland and her 90th birthday in Alaska.
Jeannette leaves behind two daughters: Elaine and her husband Stephen Staples of Albion and Patricia and her husband John Charamonde of Highland Beach FL, four grandchildren: Barbara Angell of Wayne, Jeffrey Allen of Hudson, WI, Sean Staples of Sylvania, OH, and Erik Staples of Worcester, MA; six great-grandchildren: Kristen, Amanda and Tyler Angell and Nicole, Megan and Jack Allen; one great-great grandson Reece Angell and also her special friends Gayle and Bob Chase of Lewiston.
Besides her husband Winsor and parents, she was predeceased by her brother Lionel.
