Joanne was a very generous soul. She was never too busy to help a family member, a friend, or a neighbor, whether it was giving of her time or anything else that was needed. She was a Life Member of AMVETS Auxillary in New Gloucester and derived great pleasure in supporting their many philanthropic causes. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family get-togethers were her favorite times. She was an excellent cook and so enjoyed baking for her family.
Joanne also enjoyed bowling and was a member of a bowling league into her mid 80's. Belonging to two Senior Citizen groups and participating in their many day trips and outings was also a favorite pastime. Through the years, Joanne knit many beautiful sweaters, hats, and mittens along with sewing quilts and blankets, not only for her family but also for charitable organizations. She and her husband Raymond, who were married for 57 years, took the opportunity to travel to Germany, Italy, and France. Joanne was predeceased by her husband Raymond; two infant daughters; her daughter Noella(Cyr) Longtin; grandson Jason Cyr; brothers Adolphe; Ludger; Raoul; Real and Lionel; sisters Adelaide, Sylvia and Aline.
