Mike & Linda Gilbert

Julian was the big brother who was always there for his siblings and parents alike. When he moved to the United States with his family, he immediately found work to help bring money into the home to help his parents support their large family. Julian was always like that, asking what he could do to help. When my husband, Mike, was in college, he sent him a weekly note, including some spending money for Mike to go out with on the weekends. No one told him to do it. He did it to help his brother, to help take care of him. Julian got pleasure in helping others. He loved his nieces and nephews and telling them stories about his time in Canada and how different life was back then. He bragged about all of them to anyone who would listen. When he went to Scarborough for his chemotherapy treatments, he would stop by IV Therapy to talk with his niece, Amanda. He loved joking with her. His passing has left a void in our family gatherings which cannot be replaced. We will meet again one day, Julian. Look for Mike and I at the rainbow bridge. We'll be there with our animals hugging in a joyous reunion.
Love, Mike & Linda

My dear friend Julien of more than 40 years. He watched me grow as I would visit every year to Andover to Eva Bodwells house with my nana, Wanita Rose. He became a dear friend and welcomed my boys into his life as well. Ski trips, dancing, Quebec and over nights in Auburn and many drives, breakfasts & dinners together. I will miss his laughter, his accent, his smile. He was the kindest, gentle man I have ever loved and had as a friend. My heart aches but the memories will forever be in my heart and may he have eternal life with Shane.
My thoughts & prayers to his brothers & family... He is out of pain and his smile is over us all.

Julien was a kind and generous man who touched all of us with his smile and laugh. He taught me that a good work ethic would carry me through the good times and bad and that it is not what we want from life but what we can give to others. He was a big brother to Ginny and Suzie that was always there for them when they needed him the most. We will see you on the other side Julien. God Bless You.

Julien was the kind of person people enjoyed to be around. He was my boss who became my very best friend, at times my brother and father too. Julien was my go to person and my rock. I will cherish many, many memories over the many years I have known Julien. I will truly miss my dear friend. My prayers go out to the Gilbert family.

I met Julien back in the 70's at Cornwall Ind. He was such a joy to be around. What a character, I never met anyone who had so many cousin's and so much wisdom. He taught me how to be a problem solver. I have many fond memories over the years. I will truly miss his stunning smile. My thoughts and prayers are with the Gilbert family during this sad time.
