Kevin William Blier

Kevin was born on October 1, 1971 the son of Daniel Roger Blier and Marie Alice Higgins. He grew up in Lewiston, Maine, graduating from Lewiston High School in 1989. He went on to study at both American University and the University of Maine Orono, graduating in 1997.

Kevin worked in many different fields throughout his life, but his passion was history and politics. A favorite position he had was when he worked for the Congressional Youth Leadership Council as a facilitator for the National Young Leaders Conference which focused on educating high school students across the country about the Nation's Capital. A political highlight he experienced was speaking at a CPAC event in 2005.

Kevin was an avid sports fan. Growing up he enjoyed playing football, hockey and baseball, which included playing on many all-star teams. He attended many Boston Red Sox and Bruins as well as New England Patriots games with friends and family, and was always cheering on his favorite teams.

Kevin settled with his family in Brandon, Vermont. Kevin loved being a father to his two sons, Aidan and Collin. As a family they shared many adventures, including camping trips, snowmobile trips and going to NFL football games. Kevin especially enjoyed coaching his sons’ baseball and football teams and enjoyed sharing his enthusiasm of sports with them.

Kevin was a friend to many that always made everyone laugh until their cheeks and sides hurt! He especially loved spending time with friends boating on Lake Dunmore, going for motorcycle rides or hanging by a bonfire.

Kevin will be remembered for his sense of humor, his contagious laugh, and his quick whit. Anyone who knew Kevin would know it was impossible to be sad when he was around. He will be sorely missed.

Kevin is survived by his beloved sons Aidan Charles Blier and Collin James Blier, their mother Kristin, his mother, Marie Higgins, sister Angela Blier and her wife Melissa, nephews, Ethan and Cameron and niece Josselyn. Kevin is also survived by his best friend since childhood, David Thibaudeau. Kevin is predeceased by his brother, Danny and father, Rocky.
