Margaret A. Koenig

1931 - 2010

Auburn - Margaret A. "Peggy" Koenig, 78 of Farmington, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.

She was born in Tea Neck, N.J. November 7, 1931 the daughter of the late Margaret Zimmerman Gillen. She was educated in N.J. schools and had been a resident of Sabattus for 23 years and most recently of Farmington for 10 years. Prior to her retirement was employed as a CNA Med. Tech. working for over 25 years in Lewiston / Auburn area nursing homes. Peggy was married September 13, 1952 to Franz Koenig who predeceased her November 1, 1999.

She will be remembered as a "best friend" to her son Tim and a fantastic cook. She loved the New York Yankees and her many dogs.

She is survived by a son, Timothy "Tiny" Koenig of Farmington; three sisters, Rae Quinn, Claire Mayer and Mary Keller all of New Jersey and several nieces and nephews.
