Marjorie H. Libby

Lewiston- Marjorie H. Libby of Fortin Way, Lewiston died Thursday January 16, 2014 at Central Maine Medical Center, with her loving family at her side, after a long illness. She was born in Hackensack, NJ on July 30, 1949 a daughter of the late William and Theodora (Lenox) White. She was educated in New Jersey and graduated from Northern Valley Regional High School in Old Tappan NJ. Marjorie married the love of her life Dan Libby on April 24, 1971, and together they raised their three sons. Marjorie was a great caregiver to her three sons and whoever else needed her help. She was a caring and people person who loved and lived life to its fullest. She loved being around family and her many friends. She enjoyed the ocean and everything to do with the ocean, light houses, sea shells and the sand between her toes. She also enjoyed volunteering and helping out any way she could. She leaves her husband of 42 years Dan Libby of Lewiston and her three sons, Jason Libby of Leeds, Joshua Libby of CA, and Kyle Libby of NC; her two grandsons, Ben and Zac; a sister Dorothy White of MO; two brothers, William White of PA and Robert White and his wife Wanda of FL; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to send a very special thank you to the hospital staff, who made her last month as much like home as possible.
