MARJORIE ANN MCNEIL YORK 1941-2021 HARRISON –Marjorie “Marge” Ann McNeil York 80, passed away Friday, November 19, 2021 at Stephens Memorial Hospital with family by her side. She was born on August 11, 1941 and raised in Chelsea, Mass. The daughter of the late Grace Wilson and Daniel McNeil. She graduated from Chelsea high school and married Eugene Cassidy Sr, together they had 6 children. Her earlier years she was a homemaker and had various jobs, most proud of her co-ownership of Ted’s Diner with her first husband. She moved to Maine in 1982 and raised her children and worked at Jade Fountain in Auburn and went on to earn her degree as CNA. Marge is survived by her 6 children, Tim and Janet Cassidy, Auburn, Cathleen and Richard Sinclair of Bangor, Christine and Alan Littizzio of Fruitland Park, FLA, Pauline Cassidy of Lewiston, Nancy George and partner Lyndon Rogers of Harrison and Gene Cassidy Jr. and partner Mary Nieuwpoort of Auburn. 18 loving grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Her first husband Eugene and his wife Judith. Many family and friends. Marge was truly a one-of-a-kind woman; outspoken, confident, and the family matriarch. She was incredibly loving, caring wife, mother, grammy, auntie, and friend. To summarize the life of such a wonderful woman in mere words is impossible, she loved her husband John (who she is with in peace), her children, grandchildren and extended family. Marge enjoyed hunting and fishing with her husband John. She was an addicted “Survivor Watcher” (all 20+ seasons), she loved to do puzzles, was an avid Bingo player, she was very passionate about giving to others and volunteering at her local food bank, Community Resource Council. She loved cooking especially for large family gatherings. Marge is predeceased by her husband John, her parents and siblings, and her mother in law and dear friend Hazel Martin. Arrangements are made with Fortin Group 217 Turner St. Auburn ME 04210 December 3rd, 2021 2-4 and 6-8. Internment later in the spring at Calvary Cemetery in So. Portland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Community Resource Council of Naples, P.O. Box 447, Naples Maine 04055. They know her as “Marge”

Marge was a very sweet women. I am glad I got to know here through the food bank in Naples where I volintered. Which is where we met. You will be very much missed. May you rest in peace and soar with the angels.
