Mark Emilien Morin

BOSTON, MA- Mark E. Morin, age 50, of Poland, Maine, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. He was born on June 30, 1973, in Lewiston, Maine to Emilien E. Morin, Jr. and Diane Jean Morin. He was the youngest of 4 siblings and grew up in New Auburn, Maine. Mark graduated from Edward Little High School in 1991 and continued his education, graduating from the Wentworth Institute of Technology of Boston with his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1995. Mark was passionate about his career and set the standard for engineering services where he worked for Hannaford, Atlantic Engineering, and as an Owner and Project Engineer at Nason Mechanical Systems in Auburn, ME.

Mark’s engineering expertise and perfection extended beyond his career; he was an “I can build that” kind of guy and there wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix or build himself. If he wasn’t enjoying Richardson Lake in Andover, or hitting the fresh snow on the snowmobile trail, he could be found tinkering in the garage on his vintage motorbikes and snowmobiles. Mark also enjoyed concerts, maintaining his home and camps, and spending time living in the moment; he truly enjoyed the simple things in life and encouraged everyone around him to do the same.

Mark is survived by his life partner, Brooke Grygiel, his daughter Meghan Picard and husband Eric, his mother Diane Morin; his siblings, Celeste Chapman, husband Kevin Chapman; Andre Morin and Fiancée, Tanya Levesque; John Morin, and his wife Stacey Morin; his nieces and nephews Kelsey, Madison, Ben, and Jack; his best friend/brother Brian Roy and wife Miranda; and predeceased by his father, Emilien E. Morin, Jr.
