Mary Ann Bentley

Ann was born on May 29, 1957, in Greenville, Maine, Lloyd and Evelyn Worster. She attended Greenville High School and later made Auburn her home, where she built a life centered around family, friendship, and the people she loved.

Ann was employed by John F. Murphy Homes in Auburn for 34 years, dedicating much of her working life to the organization and the people she worked alongside.

Ann was married to Donald Bentley for 24 years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her two grandchildren, Jacob and Andrew, were the constant focus of her life for the past 22 years. She cherished every moment she could spend with them, from yearly trips to Wells Beach and Jackman to attending their sporting events, school concerts, birthday parties, holiday gatherings, and graduations. Ann was a proud Meme and never missed an opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments.

Outside of family, Ann enjoyed scrapbooking and cheering on the New England Patriots. She treasured the time she spent with her good friends Bill, Kim, Terry, and Missy, creating memories and sharing the simple moments of life. She was predeceased by her dear friend Holly.

Ann is survived by her son, Jerrod Bentley, and his wife, Mary; her beloved grandchildren, Jacob Bentley and Andrew Bentley; her sister, Beverly (Worster) Suntum; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.

She was predeceased by Donald Bentley, her siblings Barbara (Worster) Roderick, Melita (Worster) Lumbert, Lloyd Worster, Edward “Punk” Worster, and Douglas “Hubby” Worster.

Ann’s greatest joy was her family, and especially the grandchildren who brought so much happiness and pride to her life. Her love, laughter, friendship, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Ann's celebration of life will be held on Thursday, August 13, from 1:00-3:00PM, at The Fortin & Pinette Group, 217 Turner Street, Auburn. Friends and family are invited to a time of gathering to share memories and stories about Ann's life.
