

1930 - 2010
Auburn - Maurice J. St. Pierre, age 80, of Turner, died Wednesday morning November 24th at The Hospice House with his family by his side following a short, courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Lewiston April 3, 1930, a son of Romeo and Isabelle (Tardiff) St. Pierre and was educated in local schools. He married Pauline Giselle (Pintal) Berube on November 18, 1961. Maurice first worked in local shoe shops and later worked as a lineman in construction before being employed as a Superintendant of Maintenance at Clover Health Care in Auburn until his retirement in 1995. He enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and was a an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins. Maurice was an excellent carpenter who designed and built many exquisite pieces of furniture which will be treasured always by his family. He also built his family home where he lived for the past 41 years.
He will be remembered by his family and many others with love as a kind, big-hearted man who could fix anything and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He lived life to the fullest with love laughter, hard work and fun. He will be missed always.
He leaves his wife Pauline St. Pierre of Turner; two daughters Karen Berube and her partner Denise Marcoux of Auburn and Nancy Morin of Lewiston; three granddaughters
Megan Pettengill of Auburn, Darcy Pettengill and her "hubby" Bryan Letourneau of Mechanic Falls and Audrey Morin of Rumford; two grandsons Steven Webster and his wife Danielle of Lewiston and Christopher Webster of Maryland; two great-grandchildren Trenton Pettengill of Mechanic Falls and Asa Hodgkin of Auburn; two sisters Jean Pacheco of Lewiston and Dorothy Woolford of CA
three brothers Roland St. Pierre and his wife Pauline of Auburn, Robert St. Pierre and his wife Estelle of Lewiston and Norman St. Pierre and his wife Jessie of CA; and many nieces, nephews and their families.
