AUBURN, ME – Michael Norman Brown of Auburn unexpectedly passed away Sunday, July 8th at his home. He was born January 9th, 1958, in Portland, ME. to Maynard Brown and Marie Levesque Brown. Michael attended Westbrook High school, graduating in 1976.

He grew up in Westbrook, moving to auburn in 1982 to help his father with the chicken farm, the same year he married his first wife, and mother of his three children, Wendy Brown. Throughout his life, he was able to learn many skills, including welding, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and this is just to name a few. With these skills he helped build at least six houses with and for friends and family.

In 1985, Michael had his first son Kory, followed shortly by two more, Nicholos in 1988 and Jedrek in 1989. From this point forward, they quickly became his life, and he did everything for them. No matter what day, or time, he was always there for his three boys, and anyone else that needed a helping hand.

Over the years, Michael worked at Bath Iron Works, the Papermill in Westbrook – SD Warren (now SAPPI), Southworth, then working for his father at EDM. When he left EDM, he picked up Carpentry, and continued to do Carpentry through the rest of his life.

Michael loved many things; being outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening, playing Horseshoes, darts, various lawn games and carpentry work, but he loved nothing more than his family. He acted as a father figure to most people who knew him. He was easily one of the most selfless people on this earth and one of the greatest men anyone could have had the pleasure of knowing. He would truly make the room brighter when he entered, and he will be dearly missed.

Michael was predeceased by his parents Maynard and Marie Brown.

He is survived by his Fiancé Sandra Pelletier; Brother David Brown and his wife Lisa, Sister Leanne Brown Binette, Three sons; Kory and his wife Julia, Nicholos and his wife Rose, and Jedrek, Grandson Vicktor and several nieces and nephews, all of which loved him dearly, and will miss him very much.

Brownie / Big guy;
You were always a presence in any crowd! You had such an awesome smile, such a bellowing voice, such a quick wit--and yes, such a contagious laugh!!

There were soooo many youthful stories that John and I would relive with you in conversation when we saw you...bellyaches of laughter! Along the way, we were committed to raising our own families, yet it always seemed that time spent away would disappear when we saw each other.

It is with great sadness that we have to say good-bye. Please know that John and I will be forever grateful to have known you!

Our most heartfelt condolences to your family!
With loving memories,
Sherryl and John
