Michael was born on April 23, 1955, in Lewiston, Maine, a son to Constance (Gauthier) and Lucien Pelletier. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Known by many as "Pelch," Michael was passionate about music, and his love for it was an integral part of who he was. Just by simply sharing his favorite songs with loved ones, Michael’s joy for music was contagious.
Michael graduated from Lewiston High School and went on to work at BIW for 46 years. He had a lifelong love for sports, particularly hockey, and was a true Habs fan. Michael enjoyed anything on four wheels, as well as being on the water. He loved snowmobiling, golfing, and doing crossword puzzles, often completing them in all capital letters. He was also a proud member of the Webber Ave. Social Club for decades, with membership #300.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Pelletier, children, Danielle Bledsoe (Darryl) and Blaine Pelletier (Jessica); grandchildren, Sydney Bledsoe, Lilly-Mae and Ellie-Lou Pelletier; nephew, Matthew Pelletier and great-nephew- Ethan Pelletier; three stepchildren, Michael Curtis, Amy Thibodeau, and Alicia Talbot; and five step-grandchildren, Jeremy Thibodeau, Josh Thibodeau, Andrew Curtis, Maddie Curtis, and Melvin Curtis. Michael is also survived by his beloved dog, Mia.
He was predeceased by his parents, Lucien and Constance Pelletier; brother, Daniel Pelletier; and niece, Michelle Pelletier.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation for Michael on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at The Fortin & Pinette Group, 217 Turner Street, Auburn, ME 04210, followed by a Liturgy of the Word at 6:00 PM.
