Auburn - Pauline M. Keenan 77, a resident of 209 Oak Hill Rd. Auburn ME for the past 43 years, passed away in the comfort of her home with her loving family & friends by her side Wednesday June 30, 2010. She was born in Lewiston on July 3, 1932 the youngest daughter of the late Augustus J. and Minnie H. Vignault Stone. She was educated in Lewiston schools. She worked for Crest Shoes and then retired from Auburn Fairview School where she managed the kitchen and cafeteria from 1972 - 1994. She was married to Charles W. Keenan Jr. November 24, 1951 until his death on January 24, 2005. She enjoyed fishing and camping with her family. Throughout her life Pauline shared her wonderful cooking with her family and many friends. She also loved her rowboat that her father had built for her in her youth while living at the end of Summer St. in Lewiston, she spent serene days boating on the Androscoggin River with an occasional rescue. She enjoyed line dancing with her friends and her water walking at the YWCA. She was very active to the very end of her life. She loved the kindness of friends and most importantly treasured her family. Pauline will be remembered for her stories of the past, her recipes that she shared, and her ability to make you feel welcomed anywhere she was enjoying life. She is survived by a daughter Judy Keenan-Bower of Turner, four sons, Jeffrey Keenan of Auburn, Charles W. Keenan III and wife Doreen of Hebron, David Keenan and Sunni Busch of Buckfield, Randy Keenan and fiancee Marie Beaucage of Minot, her grandchildren, Ashley, Cara, and Jared Bower, Ryan Jones and wife Rachel, Charles W. Keenan IV and wife Drusilla, Elizabeth Keenan and fiancee Scott Wetherell, Christopher Keenan, a great-grandson Keenan Jones that was a joy for her and another great-grandchild due in December 2010, her brother Robert Stone of FL. She was predeceased by 5 sisters, Elaine Williams, Minnie Laroche, Lillian Nichols, Marguerite Keene and Regina Moody, 2 brothers Charles and Alfred Stone.
