Auburn: Penny Caouette,65, of Gammon Avenue Auburn, died Sunday March 18, with her loving family at her side, at The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice. She was born in Northfield VT on July 1, 1952 a daughter of the late Maynard and Eleanor (Thurston) Dickinson. She left many childhood friends and moved to Maine in 1968. She attended Scarborough High School her sophomore year in 1968, then Thornton Academy in 1969 and graduated from Biddeford High School class of 1970.
Penny started working in retail after graduating high school, she was working for King’s where she met her husband Paul “Bud” Caouette and they married in 1981. They spent 37 amazing years together and raised their two daughters in Auburn. Penny then went on to work for CVS as a pharmacy tech, where she worked for over thirty years, until she retired to take care of Bud who passed on April 23, 2017. Penny was a very devoted wife and mother, she loved her family and was always there for them and always put them first. She loved being with Bud especially on his Harley and taking their yearly trip to the Bahamas where they looked forward to Bahama Mama Happy Hour. She also enjoyed hanging out at her pool, being at the beach, watching sunsets, dancing and her Friday nights at Gippers.
Penny is survived by her daughters Jennifer Gagnon and her husband Jason of Auburn and Erin Caouette of Auburn, her three grandchildren Abigail, Colby and Allyson, her two sisters Jane Manning of E. Randolph VT and Gloria Dehler of Orange VT, a brother Arthur Dickinson and his wife Sheila of Roxbury, VT and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation Fortin Auburn Friday March 23, from 10 am to 12 pm. Funeral services will be celebrated at 12 pm at the funeral home. Committal will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
