

AUBURN - Rita M. Dube, 91 of Auburn, formerly of Webster St. Lewiston, died Friday, Oct. 3 at the Hospice House. She was born in Lewiston, Feb. 14, 1923 daughter of the late Arthur and Mazie Deschamps Ouellette. She graduated from Edward Little High School in 1940 and Acme Business College in 1941. On Nov. 23, 1944 she married Charles R. Dube who predeceased her Oct. 17, 2003. Rita was bookkeeper for the family owned business, Dube Gravel Co. until her retirement in 1985. She was a communicant of Holy Family Church, Covenant 50, Horizon 55 and the former St. Mary's Hospital Patronesses and A.A.R.P. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. She is survived by a daughter, Charlene Bilodeau and husband Louis of S. Carolina and a son, Richard R. Dube and wife Elaine of Lewiston; 10 grandchildren, Brian Dube and wife Brandy, John Dube and wife Melanie, Christopher Dube and wife Danielle, Shawn Bilodeau and wife Michelle, Kevin Bilodeau and companion Brooke Pinkham, Kelley Silver and husband Justin, Carole Cowell and husband David, Rodney Bergeron and wife Michelle, Donna Tardif and husband Scott and Jennifer Mower and husband Thomas; 19 great grandchildren, Lauren Chouinard, Brianne and Leah Dube, Isabelle and Hannah Dube, Alexandria Bergeron, Jacob, Josh and Jillian Bergeron, Nicholas Tardif, Juliana Tardif, Owen and Serena Mower, Cameron, Nolan, Jordynn and Landon Bilodeau, Kayla and Matthew Silver; a devoted sister, Jane Hamel and husband Roland of Lewiston; a son-in-law, Eugene Bergeron and a special niece Diane Cormier and special nephew Donald Hamel and a longtime friend and hairdresser Phyllis Fitzpatrick. She was predeceased by a daughter, Lorraine Bergeron Moore on Jan. 11, 2000 and a brother Ernest Ouellette. Visitation at Fortin/Auburn Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Liturgy of the Word Service will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Committal to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
