

Auburn- Ronald A. Sawyer 65, of Trask Ave. died after a very sudden illness at his home with his wife at his side on Sunday October 18, 2015. He was born in Lewiston on May 11, 1950 a son of the late Ronald and Jane (Donahue) Sawyer, He grew up on Newbury St. in Auburn and graduated from Edward Little High School class of 1968. Ron married his true love Kathleen “Kit” Ouellette on June 24, 1972. He was a truck driver all his life driving for Neil’s, Poland Spring, Associated Grocers and he retired from Murray Oil this past March. He was a member of Tranquil Lodge #29 Auburn, receiving his 25 year pin this year, the Scottish Rites Bodies and The Kora Shrine, Second Section. He enjoyed spending the summers camping at Silverlake Campground with his many friends, sitting around the campfire playing his guitar, watching sports especially his beloved Patriots and Nascar. He loved music and in high school he played with the Temptations. His five grandchildren were his life and he followed them in all their many endeavors. He is survived by his wife of 43 Years, Kit Sawyer of Auburn, his two daughters Jennifer DeRosa and her companion Michael Fournier of Auburn and Cynthia Lyons and her husband Robert of Lewiston, his two sisters Margaret “Peggy” Gatchell and her husband Richard of Poland and Suzan Bouley and her husband Roger of Litchfield, a brother William Sawyer and his wife Gretchen of Albany Township, his five grandchildren Katie and Madison DeRosa, Austin Fournier, Nathan and Jillian Lyons, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
