

TURNER: Rosaire Roy, III, 48, of Turner passed away at his home on Tuesday July 9 as a result of an inoperable brain tumor surrounded by his wife, sons and extended family. “You left us too soon, Rosaire”. He was born in Van Buren, ME on October 17, 1964, a son of Rosaire Roy, Jr. and Marie (Rossignol) Roy. He attended Turner schools. On June 8, 1985 he married Lisa Marie Courbron and they have two sons, Shawn, who is 19 and Casey, who is 16. Rosaire was a truck driver for 26 years, a job that he loved and for which he was able to customize to fit his family life that was always foremost in his goals. He loved the outdoors and was a robust man. He took his family on many outings camping on Androscoggin Island, and boating. He also loved snowmobiling and riding his motorcycle. He was a loving and supporting husband and “hands on” father. He was seen as the patriarch of the Courbron and Roy families. Surviving Rosaire, are his wife Lisa Roy of Turner, their sons Shawn and Casey of Turner, his parents Rosaire Roy, Jr. and Marie of Turner, a sister, Sylvia Cozart of Leeds, two brothers, Steven Roy of Lewiston and David Roy of Greene. He also leaves behind a granddaughter, Lyric Ann-Marie Roy, who was born 24 hours later after he passed as well as many nieces, nephews and other relations on both sides of the Roy & Courbron families. Visiting Hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday July 12 from 4-7pm. A Celebration of Rosaire’s Life will take place on Saturday July 13 at 10:30am at East Auburn Baptist Church, Auburn. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Keens Mills Cemetery in Turner with Military Honors.
