

Carmen R. Smith, 85, of Harrison, died in an automobile accident on May 2nd with her daughter Linda LaBonte. She was born in Lewiston, August 4th, 1926, the daughter of Telesphore and Eugenie Charest of Lewiston. She attended Lewiston schools and was the widow of Richard O. Smith. She worked for many years at the local woolen mills until retirement, after retiring worked at High Tech Fire Protection. She loved to travel, spend time with family, and was an avid reader. Carmen is survived by her son, Gary R. Smith and wife Brenda, daughter-in-laws Irene Finch and Francis Smith, her beloved grandchildren, Pam Paz and husband Edward, Scott Smith and wife Kelly, Richard Smith and wife Lucille, Eric Smith and companion Olga, and great-grandchildren Brandon Smith and Bryce Smith, Elli Smith, Katherine and Elizabeth Paz, sister Lorraine Dussault and husband Don. Carmen was predeceased by her husband Richard Smith, son Daniel Smith. She will be missed by all. Online condolences may be made in her memory at www.thefortingroupauburn.com.
