PORTLAND - Shirley Deletetsky, 84 passed away Thursday, Sept. 12 at The Cedars Nursing Care Center.She was born in Lewiston, October 26, 1928 daughter of the late Myer and Raye (Kaplan) Deletetsky. Shirley was the 12 th. of 13 children that were born in this blended family. She was a graduate of Edward Little High School in Auburn in 1947 then attended Bates College for two years.Shirley moved to Massachusetts after leaving Bates College and was employed as a proofreader for several different companies around the Boston area. She proofread books and ad copy. She loved her time with family and friends, reading, traveling, movies and television. She is survived by one sibling: a brother, Milton "Mickey" Deletetsky and wife Anne of Auburn. Shirley was a loving aunt to over 40 nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
