Thelma Ann Quimby

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thelma Ann Quimby, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Thelma passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025, at the age of 80. She was born on January 19, 1945 in Portland, Maine. The daughter of David Elward Jillson and Ellen Mae Jillson (Briggs).

Thelma, formerly known as Thelma Jillson (Allard), lived a life filled with love and laughter. She was known for her warmth, her kindness, and her unwavering devotion to her family. Her greatest passion in life was raising her three boys and her many kids (as she called them) that attended her self-run day care. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Thelma is survived by her children: David (Durham, ME), Jim (Dallas, TX), Tim (Auburn, ME), their spouses: Missy, Chad and Jason, grandchildren: Carly and Devin, Great grandchildren Zayden and Maesie, sister Pauline and a host of other family members and friends. She was predeceased in death by her parents, Sister Ellen, Husband Walter and granddaughter Lindsey Mae.

A Celebration of Life and reception will be held at the Shiloh chapel Fellowship Hall in Durham 11-2 Saturday August 9th. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Strive U https://pslstrive.org/donate or Androscoggin Hospice House. https://andwell.org/giving/donate/
