

WOLFEBORO,NH: Theodore Emil “Ted” Reissfelder, 81, of Auburn and formerly of Center Ossipee, NH, passed away June 18, 2015 at Wolfeboro Bay Center in Wolfeboro, NH. A native of Ossipee, he was born on September 11, 1933, to Theodore Arthur and Pauline (Burleigh) Reissfelder. He grew up in Moultonville, NH and attended the United Methodist Church there with his family. He was educated at the Ossipee Central School where he was a member of both the basketball and baseball teams. He graduated from Kennett High School in North Conway, NH and studied engineering at the University of NH in Durham. He later joined the U.S. Army and served honorably from 1955-1957. Ted enjoyed both water skiing and snow skiing and met his wife, Therese L. Giguere, while she was on a ski vacation in North Conway. They were married on April 19, 1963 at the Basilica of Saints Peter & Paul in Lewiston. He worked as a draftsman at the Bates Mill for many years. After Bates closed, he worked at Bachmann Industries/Wahlco-Metroflex as an auto-CAD draftsman. He and his wife kept a home on Broad Bay of Ossipee Lake in Ossipee, NH until 2006. Ted was well known as a craftsman and handyman who constructed houses, built many beautiful pieces of furniture and crafted numerous decorative rock walls. Many of the items he drafted while at Bachmann Industries were fabricated there and incorporated into power plants built around the world. He is survived by his two children; Tyson P. of Lewiston, ME, his wife Louise (LeBlond) and their two children, Jillian and Caleb; and Tammy A. Mansfield of Sheridan, WY, her husband Jeffrey and their two children, Katharine and Nathan; his sisters, Peggy Smith of Concord, NH, Nancy Hoppe of Indian Rocks Beach, FL, and Ted’s companion Barbara (Donnelly) Campbell of Glen, NH. He is predeceased by his wife Therese and brother, William “Billy” Reissfelder. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.thefortingroupauburn.com.
A memorial visitation will take place on Friday, June 26 from 5 to 8 PM at The Fortin Group/Auburn.
A memorial service for friends and family will be held at the Moultonville United Methodist Church on Saturday, June 27th, at 11:00 a.m. After the service there will be a graveside memorial for he and his wife at Chickville Cemetery in Ossipee, NH.
