Throughout his lifetime he held jobs that allowed him to meet many a face whether it was his responsibilities at Cottles, delivering mail with the United States Postal Service, the Union President, or shuttle driving with Lee Auto Mall.
Tom was known as the master of parties – throwing a wicked Fourth of July or annual Union party. He loved a good game of poker with his Mechanic Falls buddies, or just getting together with his siblings for their monthly breakfasts. His pride and joy was his 1970 Ford Mustang. Tom above all was known for his love of cooking, kindness, willingness to help others, having a great sense of humor, tinkering or kicking it back in his man cave in the garage.
Tom loved to be involved in his children’s lives, which usually always involved sports. He passed his love of the game on to his children. He was a fast and slow softball player, playing in several leagues around town. He helped in facilitating many games and tournaments. When his playing time was up, he still could not leave the field getting his umpire certification. He was an avid fan of the “Pats” and the speedway of NASCAR.
