

LEEDS: Yvonne M. Bilodeau, 88, of Leeds passed away peacefully on Friday February 3, 2017 at her home with her loving daughter at her side. She was born in Quebec, Canada on April 12, 1928 a daughter of the late Georges and Hortense (Theroux) Larochelle. She grew up in Quebec and attended schools there. At the age of 13, Yvonne entered the Convent in Canada and eventually her faith brought her to the United States where she served the Lord in Plattsburgh, New York; Newport, Vermont and Alfred, Maine for a total of 22 years. Shortly after leaving the Convent, she married and had a daughter, Doris, in Lewiston. During that time she worked at Bates Mill as a weaver as well as at other mills and factories until her retirement. Yvonne loved volunteering for The Grange, the Food Pantry and the Leeds Fire Dept. helping serve at many events and functions. She loved to read books, work in her gardens and she was especially passionate about researching new recipes to try. She even went by the nickname of "The Cookie Lady" for her continuous generosity in making and delivering cookies to all of her friends, family and neighbors

She is survived by her daughter Doris Parenteau and her husband Randy of Leeds, her siblings; Beatrice Juneau, Lucienne Chabot and her husband Gerard, Lucien Larochelle, Lilianne Carrier and her husband Robert, Sylvio Larochelle and his wife Therese and Real Larochelle and his wife Madeleine all of Quebec, Canada. She also leaves behind two grandchildren; Raymond Saucier and his significant other Kim Davenport of Auburn and Joshua Parenteau of Leeds as well as a great-grandson, Dakota Saucier. She was predeceased by her husband, Roland P. Bilodeau, two brothers; Gerald and Alain Larochelle and a brother-in-law, Emile Juneau. Visiting hours will be held at Fortin\Auburn on Sunday February 12, 2017 from 4-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Philip's Church in Auburn on Monday February 13, 2017 at 11am followed by committal prayers at St. Peter's Cemetery in Lewiston.
