Brady Lawrence Weum

Brady Lawrence Weum passed away on March 17th, 2026, at his residence in Austin, Texas, at the age of 65. Brady was born in Anchorage, Alaska, on December 26th, 1960, to his mother, Helen Mae Weum, and his father, Robert Earl Weum. He was raised in Houston, Texas, along with his three brothers, Brad Weum, Brock Weum, and Barry Weum. Brady spent most of his young adulthood in Hawaii before settling down in Austin, Texas.

Brady was a beloved son, brother, and father known to his family and friends for his unbridled charisma, passion for the beach and surfing, and for his deep love for his children. Brady is survived by his two children, Robert Dylan Weum and Skylar Lucille Weum, the mother of his children, Marybeth Lisa Shields, and his brother, Barry Weum. He is further survived by the deep legacy of friendships and memories he had imparted throughout his life. Anyone who knew him knew him as a great man of unmatched character, strength, and spirit. He will be deeply mourned and his absence never filled, but he will be forever loved.

Event Description: Doors to the venue will open at 1pm. There will be an area in the back of the restaurant showcasing photos and a book for anyone wishing to write a memory celebrating Brady. From 1-3:30pm the venue will be open for anyone to come and see family, remember Brady, or to enjoy the food and beverages with fellow company. At 3:30pm there will be a toast given by the family. After the closing toast, until 4:00pm, everyone is welcome to stay and pay their respects, say goodbyes, or celebrate with friends.

Food/Beverages: “Bar-Food” style appetizers and beverages will be provided by the family. With the exception of Non-Alcoholic beverages, we request that you do not bring your own beverages to the venue.

From the Family: This event was planned with the deepest consideration for what Brady would’ve wanted. We ask that everyone attending the event be respectful and kind, but most importantly show up with the intention of celebrating a man larger than life.

Venue Description: There is both an indoor space, and an outdoor space. The indoor venue consists of a large front and back seating area, counter seating, and bar seating as well as indoor restrooms. The outdoor venue is a covered patio with plenty of additional seating and fans available.

Parking: Parking is available in the next-door shared parking lot with Fresh Plus, as well as along the street.

Dress: The event will be dress-casual, keeping in mind the weather. The event will be air-conditioned inside, and covered outside.
