Crystal moved from Hattiesburg to Austin 4 years ago to start a new life for herself after some significant personal struggles. She overcame a mountain of obstacles on her journey from one place to another, and continued to push forward. She struggled to find a job at first, but found herself at the callcenter for General Motors where she met some amazing people who wanted to give her a fresh start.
Crystal LOVED her job and taking care of customers. It gave her so much happiness to know that she solved problems for people, and was evident in the comments her customers made.
Crystal enjoyed being a big science fiction geek, and it was this love that helped her find some of the best friends she would ever find. Comic book movies and space shows were some of the things she enjoyed the most with her friends. She found a family that she would do anything for, and they all felt the same way about her. She was so quick to make people feel comfortable and secure, and was always more worried about others than herself.
She is survived by her daughter Rebecca Wiesen, whom she loved very much.
Everything we learn about Crystal from her friends and family make us respect and love her more than we ever thought possible. Her bright soul will be truly missed for years to come.
Crystal, you will always be our ‘leaf on the wind.’
