Diana LaJuan Brymer Coleman, 83, of Austin, Texas, was called home to God on October 6, 2026. She was born on April 26, 1943, in Amarillo, Texas, to Vernon Lee Brymer and Nora Bell Cagle Brymer (Kinnaird).
“Miss Diana,” as so many knew her, was the centerpiece of her large family, whom she so loved and doted on that her family called her “Mama Bear.” She is survived by her husband Arthur Coleman; her children Desiree Coleman, DeWayne Anstey and Renee Jaramillo, Denisee Anstey, Kathryn Kark, Debra Coleman, and Ariana and Clinton DeVey; her sister Frances Johnston; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and virtually countless extended family and friends. In fact, Miss Diana loved so many people so deeply that her "family" went far beyond her blood relatives; and her highest priorities were loving us all, praying for us all, and making sure that we all knew Jesus. Her circumstances wildly fluctuated--between loss and gain, struggle and comfort, and grief and joy--but her faith never wavered.
In addition to "her peeps," Miss Diana loved travel, dancing, gardening, photography, music, and her country--the last no doubt largely due to her Daddy's ultimate sacrifice in World War II when she was a toddler. She also loved her church, and one of the highlights of her year was buying gifts for her Angel Tree "kiddos." Please consider honoring her memory by participating in, donating to, or volunteering with Prison Fellowship Ministries' Angel Tree Christmas program.
The family would like to especially thank the Brookdale Westlake Skilled Nursing staff for more than a year of loving care that went well beyond Mom’s physical needs. We are also grateful for the care and compassion received from Comforts of Home Hospice and Parmer Woods North Austin in Mom's final weeks.
