“Vera” was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl Ann Thompson and her loving, doting husband, Ralph Wallace Chapman of 61 years.
She is survived by her sister Gloria Graham, granddaughter Michele Underwood, her husband Ashley Underwood, son-in-law- Kit Thompson, three great grandchildren, Colin McMahan, his wife Lauren McMahan, Hayden McMahan, Joseph “Joey” Underwood, Kenneth Knopp, Athene Underwood and a great-great grandson, Felix Underwood. She also left behind friends, many nephews and nieces and three wonderful care-takers.
If you knew Vera, you knew her love for her family and the Dallas Cowboys! She RV’d the country with her husband, traveled the world and had a full, wonderful life and her generosity was beyond words
She will be more than greatly missed by those that loved her!
Services will be held at Cook Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 6300 W. William Cannon Drive, Austin, Texas 78749. 512.892.1172 on Thursday, September 1st, at 6:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M., and a catered dinner at her home after the services.
