Frank Christal Jr.

Frank Christal Jr., of Georgetown, Texas, passed away peacefully at the age of 88. Born in Austin to Frank Christal Sr. and Easter Belle Christal, Frank lived a life defined by kindness, humor, and unwavering devotion to his family.

He married Jo Ann Christal in 1966, and together they shared 60 years of love and partnership. Frank was a devoted father to his son, Daniel, and a proud grandfather to Nora and Juniper, who brought him endless joy.

Frank spent many years in healthcare administration, but his true legacy was the way he showed up for the people he loved. Whether sharing wisdom with his son through his cherished “sermonettes,” or hosting social events with Jo Ann for their friends and neighbors, he had a gift for making ordinary moments feel meaningful.

Frank enjoyed football and traveling, especially cruising through the breathtaking landscapes of Alaska. He will be remembered for his generosity and his remarkable ability to strike up a conversation with anyone he met. He was a true, good humored, gentleman.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jo Ann; his son, Daniel and his wife Danielle; two grandchildren, Nora and Juniper; and his brother, Randy and his wife Katrin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Sr. and Easter Belle; and his sister, Martha and her husband Franklin.

He will never be forgotten.
