

He was born on November 14, 1938, in Austin, Texas and grew up in Austin.
He worked as Certified Welder for the Carpenters Union, Los Angeles, California for 40 years, retired and moved back home to Manchaca, Texas, and then ran Jarrel’s Muffler and Welding Shop for 35 years.
He was actively giving and donating welding supplies to the Hays High School for their welding shop. Jarrel truly enjoyed sharing his welding and automotive knowledge with kids.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph David Thomas and Gladys Brown, half brother Freddy Wilkerson, brother David Lee Thomas, and sister Evy Ann Thomas Whisenant.
He is survived by his Wife: Patricia Ann Thomas, Sister: Nancy Lou Thomas, Children: Son, Michael Jarrel Thomas, Daughter, Sandra Lee Meucci (Son-in Law, Michael David Meucci) Grandchildren: Marco Thomas Meucci, Step Grandchildren: Timmy Yarbrough, Jason Hargis, Jessica Coleman, Step Great Grandchilden: Milo Vincent.
The family would like to thank Provident at Buda Caregiver Staff, Amedisys Hospice Care Staff, Ascension Seton Hays Hospital for the care and compassion they showed Jarrel in his final days.
