Jose Moreno

Jose Guadalupe Moreno, 74, of Austin, TX, passed away July 23, 2020. He was born in Weslaco, Texas on April 12, 1946. Jose graduated from Weslaco High School and later received a Bachelor of Science degree from Pan American University, both located in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. He was married to Paula Garcia Moreno on November 17, 1967. Jose worked for the State of Texas with the Texas Employment Commission.

Jose is survived by his wife, Paula Garcia Moreno, his son Michael Joseph Moreno, and his granddaughter Amber S. Moreno. He is also survived by his sisters, Magdalena Rivera and Isabel Hernandez. Preceding him in death were his son, James Martin Moreno; his parents, Miguel Moreno and Maria Medrano Moreno; and his sisters Teresa Soto and Alicia Guzman.

The Moreno family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
