

Margaret grew up with two loving sisters, Margie and Edna. The three girls were extremely close as children, and they stayed close and best friends all their lives. The girls were fortunate to be raised under the watchful care of their Grandparents, Ida and Henry Polvado.
In 1947, Margaret married Clarence B. Clark, and together they welcomed two sons, James and Wayne. Over the years, Margaret and her young family lived in Wyoming, California, and Colorado. The family eventually settled in Alaska where Jim and Wayne grew into young men.
Margaret returned to Austin, Texas in 1966 where she set about establishing a life full of adventure and great blessings. In 1969 Margaret took a position with the Comptroller Office of the State of Texas she quickly proved herself and was promoted to supervisor. Margaret remained with the Comptroller Office until her retirement after 25 years dedicated service.
The position at the Comptroller’s office turned out to be a greater blessing than Margaret could ever have imagined. It was there that she met the love of her life, Bruce Roberts. The happy couple married in 1975 and enjoyed 25 years of marital bliss.
Margaret and Bruce purchased a lovely home where they graciously hosted family, friends, and co-workers. Endless hours of joyous socializing and swimming pool volleyball are treasured memories for many. After retirement, they bought an RV to travel across the USA, visiting family and friends while experiencing the country together.
In 1993 Margaret and Bruce updated their cottage on the lake and Lake Travis became their front yard. This home, too was always filled with family and friends resulting in more wonderful memories.
Margaret lost Bruce in 2000, she sold her lakefront home and returned to Austin, where she adored her new home, lovingly referred to as “my little house”.
Throughout her life, Margaret was a magnet for family and friends. She was kind, loving, understanding, forgiving, and gracious. Margaret set an example of grace and dignity that her nieces and nephews and her extended family continue to cherish and emulate today.
Margaret was preceded in death by her mother Lena Kingston, her father Horace Miller, loving sisters Margie Bible (and husband Charles) and Edna Bolish (and husband James), her beloved son Clarence Wayne Clark, and the love of her life her husband Bruce A Roberts.
Margaret is survived by her son James Stanford Clark, stepson Mark Roberts and wife Regina.
She also leaves behind numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family members, including Ronnie Dailey and wife Cynthia and family. Donnie Dailey and family, Debra Webster and husband John and family, Sandra McCauley and family, James Bolish Jr, Gregg Bolish and wife Tami and family, Kenny Bolish and wife Jimmie and family.
Margaret was Aunt to generations of cousins, extended family, friends and neighbors, by whom she is deeply and affectionately missed.
