Ruth was predeceased by William Richard Walker, her beloved husband of more than seventy (70) years, a daughter, Karolin Ann Turner, and great-great grandson Layton Nicholes.
Ruth and “Willie” were charter members in 1978 of the Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church. They remained active members for more than 25 years. Ruth’s passion was her faith, her family – their health, well-being, and happiness. Short in stature, Ruth’s heart was king-sized.
Ruth is survived by two daughters: Karin Sue Ascue and Camille Heinemann (and her husband Bill.) She had one granddaughter, Cary Morgan, and three great-granddaughters. Chayla Morgan, Clorissa Morgan, serving on active duty in the United States Air Force….and Chantal Nichols, with her husband, Troy who blessed her with two great-great grandsons, Cohen and Bentley Nicholes.
Ruth would certainly want to acknowledge the love and care that she received, during her final years, from Carol Robles and her family, Daniel, Danette, Cassie, and Carolyn.
The family will receive friends Sunday, May 15, 2016, from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be Monday, May 16, 2016 at 1:00 P.M., in the Chapel-Cook of Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Interment immediately to follow at Oakwood Annex Cemetery, located at 1601 Navasota Rd. Austin, Texas 78702.
