

Adolfo Ivarra Celedon Sr. 1937 - 2009 Adolfo was born on December 23, 1937 in Texas to Jesus and Guadalupe Celedon. He was 1 of 8 boys and 2 sisters. Adolfo passed away on September 10, 2009 with his family by his side. Adolfo was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and brother. Adolfo was a Veteran who served his country honorably in Korea. On May 5, 1966 he married the love of his life, Mary Ann Alire. After leaving the Army, he went to work for Santa Fe Railroad and retired after 35 years of service. Adolfo cherished his family and always held them near and dear to his heart. His number one priority in life was always making sure his family was loved and well provided for. Adolfo is survived by his wife, Mary Ann A. Celedon; son, Adolfo Celedon Jr. and wife Mary Ann Celedon; daughter, Lupe Celedon-Lozano and husband, Javier Lozano; daughter, Mary Ann Celedon and Ruben Guerrero Sr.; son, Nick Celedon and wife Delia Celedon; daughter, Lisa Celedon and Chris Arambula; grandchildren, Adolf III, Leah, Lucas, Jimmy, Ruben Jr., Angela, Priscilla, Valerie, Blake, Natalie, Chris, Ryan, and Nick Jr. Adolfo was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Daisy J. Celedon. Adolfo is also survived by his brothers, Ramiro Celedon, Ralph Celedon, John Celedon, Peter Celedon; and his sister, Margaret Aguirre. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17, starting at 5:00 p.m., and followed by Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Mortuary, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA. Mass services for Adolfo will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, September 18, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1515 Baker Street, followed by graveside services at Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Adolfo's name to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 1522 18th Street, Suite 206, Bakersfield, CA.
