Albert Andre Morel Jr. passed away on September 17, 2017. He was born on July 22, 1933 to Violet and Albert Morel in Bakersfield, California. He is survived by his two sons, David (Jennie) Morel, Rick (Susan) Morel, a sister Patricia Giachino, Brother and Sister-in-Law, Clayton and Judith Neilson, and other family members who morn his passing.
Albert was a life long resident of Bakersfield. He was an Army veteran and a long time employee of the Bakersfield School District where he worked as a delivery driver and in the district's warehouse.
In 1955, he married Mary Ellen LeFlore. Albert and Mary enjoyed over 40 years of marriage until her passing in 2009. Albert loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking both in the dessert and mountains.
As a young man, he worked as an usher in a movie theater developed a life long love for classic movies.
Albert's family and friends take comfort in knowing that our tearful goodbyes are being met with heavenly joy as he is reunited with family members.
Graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Mortuary Thursday September 21st at 2:00 PM.
