With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our daddy, Alex D. Adona. He was surrounded by his family as he went home to be with the Lord on April 17th 2022. Dad was born in Davenport, Ca. the third child to Vincent and Suzie Adona. Many years later he moved to Delano, Ca. where he met and married the love of his life and started a family, eventually they moved to Bakersfield, Ca. He started his career early, as an orderly at Kern General Hospital. Through his own hard work, self teaching and training, he became an Orthopedic Technician, where he excelled to make it his lifelong career. Dad worked at all the hospital's in the Kern County area until his retirement at the age of 76. Dad’s joys in life were family, plants, flowers, gardening, koi ponds and deep sea fishing. He is preceded in death by his father Vincent, mother Suzie, brother Benny, two sisters Nancy and Mary, first grandchild Mandie and great-grandson Gabriel. He is survived by his beautiful faithful wife of 63 yrs. Eleanor, their four children, Valerie (Rolando), Vince (Veronica), Alex Jr. (Charmen), Tiffany (Steve), many grandchildren, great grandchildren and his brother Richard Adona (Roseanne).
Daddy, we love and miss you so very much but we know you are now with the Lord working in the most beautiful garden, and fishing in the biggest ocean finally catching the big one that got away! It’s not goodbye, it's see ya later!

A memorial service for Alex will be held Friday, May 20, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Mortuary, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306.
