Amy Denise Wilson

After graduating from high school, she went on to attend Bakersfield College, transferred to, and eventually graduated from Cal State University, Bakersfield in 2008 with bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justise.

While working her way through school, Amy had 4 children that she was extremely proud of, Audrey, Victoria, Samantha, and Tyler. Amy met her husband Thomas in 2010, and they were married 5 years later.

Amy dedicated her life to helping those who needed help. She used her degree to work as a caregiver, behavioral specialist, and teacher for the mentally disabled. Amy’s most recent employment was with Chateau D’Bakersfield, a Sevita Health Company, as a Program Services Clinical Coordinator.

Amy was preceded in death by her brother Matthew Bailey, and her husky protector, Bear. She is survived by her sister, Mindy and Michelle, her cousin Ellen, her four children, Audrey Faith, Victoria Renee, Samantha Marie, and Tyler Jay, And by her husband, Thomas James Wilson.

There are no words to describe Amy’s amazing passion for reading and puzzles. She loved reading about history, and both fictional and non-fictional crime stories. Amy loved puzzles of every type. She would challenge herself with large several thousand-piece puzzles and have fun just doing simple small puzzles just to see the result.

The family would like to thank nurses, doctors, and staff at the AIS Cancer Center in Bakersfield for the support and service in helping Amy to fight her disease. In addition to flowers, the family encourages donations to the American Cancer Center and the Epilepsy Foundation, for her brother.

A celebration of life and memorial service will be held on Monday February 6, 2023, at 1PM in the Chapel of the Hillcrest Memorial Park and Mortuary at 9101 Kern Canyon Rd. Family and friends are invited to come and share found memories and stories. Please feel free to wear Flash and DeadPool apparel in honor of Amy and her brother’s favorite Marvel characters.

She will be forever missed and loved.
