Barbara Joan French Jones

Barbara was born in Tennessee on January 20, 1938. She passed away peacefully on December 14, 2010 in Bakersfield, CA. Barbara was a kind and loving wife and mother. She enjoyed painting and making porcelain dolls. Prior to her marriage to her loving husband Bobby, she worked at her parent’s restaurant in Bakersfield. After marriage she became a stay at home mom and cared for her three children.

Barbara is survived by her son Michael, daughter-in-law Marla, grandchildren Bryan, Benjamin and Matthew Jones. By her son Randy, daughter-in-law Pati, grandchildren Brant and Teale Jones. By her daughter Tammy, son-in-law Michael, grandchildren Joseph and Matthew Renzi. She is also survived by brother Richard French. Sisters; Joyce French, Carol Spain, Geraldine Dorr and Sandy Redman. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby, parents Hoyle and Myrtle French and by her sister Christine Haines.

Barbara’s family would like to thank all the staff at Life House Convalescent Hospital for their kind and loving care. Barbara had a kind heart and a keen wit. She will be missed by us all.

Visitation will be Friday, December 17, 2010 from 12 noon - 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 18, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. - 12 noon at Hillcrest Mortuary with Funeral Service on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park Chapel; 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306. Pastor John Sherley from Valley Baptist Church will officiate.
