

She lived a life marked by quiet love and dedication to her family. Born to Hazel and Willie Nixon in Bakersfield, Betty found her greatest joy and purpose in her role as a homemaker. Her talents extended to her cooking, gardening, and sewing, where she used her hands to create things of comfort and beauty. She was known for her delicious meals, the vibrant flowers that bloomed in her garden, and the thoughtful, handcrafted items she made for her loved ones.
Betty's happiest moments were spent with her grandchildren and niece, sharing her passions and creating cherished memories with them.
She is survived by her children Ronald (Julie) Thome and Michael (Janet) Thome, her grandchildren, Clinton, Russell, Clayton, Laura and her niece Alyssa Tabor.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edward Thome, who passed in 2002. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know and love her.
